ABOUT US

The University of West Florida Underwater Robotics Capstone Team is designing an Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) for the 2025 RoboSub competition. Members of the team are senior mechanical and electrical engineering students completing a capstone. Our team is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of underwater robotics and artificial intelligence. We aim to showcase our technical expertise and innovative solutions at the competition. Established in 2024, this will be the team's first time competing in RoboSub.

Sub Teams

Electrical

Our electrical team is focused on ensuring that each component receives the required voltage along with being properly wired in a safe manner. Our electrical team is also in charge of programming the sub to have computer vision and to control our thrusters.

Mechanical

Our Mechanical team is focused on designing and assembling the frame of the sub so it is positively buoyant and the interior is water proof.
